Matthew Meets WWE Wrestler, Rey Mysterio

Matthew in the ringTen-year-old Matthew and his family recently returned from an unforgettable trip Birmingham, Alabama. They were treated like VIPs from limo rides, to a stay at the presidential suite. But the real magic happened when Matthew's wish to meet his idol, WWE SuperStar Rey Mysterio came true. The two spent time together joking around, laughing, and Matthew got several autographs. Then, the family took their ringside seats for the ECW/ Smackdown event and Matthew smiled the whole time. After it was over, a crew worker lifted Matthew into the ring where he took the victorious stance (photo courtesy of C. Melvin).

Matthew battles a Complex Heart Defect and his mom, Julie said Matthew has always been their little fighter, so his wish to meet his idol Rey Mysterio was quite fitting.

Mayah 's Shopping Spree at Best Buy!

Mayah with Best Buy employees
This adorable little girl can light up any room and that is exactly what she did when she spent the day with Best Buy employees.

On February 8th, Mayah, and her family were picked up by Aladdin Limousine. Upon entering the limo she quickly discovered the Wii on the seat. It was that moment, when she knew this was going to be a great day! The limo drove everyone to Best Buy at Easton Town Center where they were greeted with her favorite cake, chocolate. Before the extravaganza began, she was introduced to her personal shopper for the day who presented her with a Best Buy t-shirt. Some of her purchases were a laptop in her favorite color red, printer, computer and Wii games with all the bells and whistles. It was then on to GameWorks where she had a delicious dinner and played games with her family.  This wish was generously sponsored by Make-A-Wish® national partner, Jewelers for Children.

Liam's Tropical Getaway
Liam and a dolphinHawaii is a long way away from Cincinnati, and a long way away from the doctors, tests, and treatments that come with battling a brain tumor.  That is why seven-year-old Liam and his family were thrilled to get away and enjoy the sun, sand and adventures, rather than thinking about his illness. Liam, a young scientist, particularly enjoyed the volcano tour adventure. Studying volcanoes is one of his pastimes, which is why he chose to visit the islands, a place that originated as volcanoes!
