Wish Granting Volunteer Training

Prospective Wish-Granting Volunteers must attend a two-and-a-half-hour training session before they can be assigned to a child’s wish.

After the training session, you will be able to:

  • The First Wish
  • Mission, Vision and Values
  • Funding
  • Wish Child Referrals
• • Identify a volunteer’s role as it relates to:
  • Wish-Granting
  • Fundraising
  • Benefits
• • Serve as the Liaison between the Wish Family and the Staff:
  • The Initial Visit
  • Ongoing Family Contact
  • Wish-Planning
  • Wish Parties

Training workshops are held approximately once per quarter in each of our regional offices and occasionally in other locations across our footprint. If you do not live near one of those offices, we are also able to offer virtual training via webinar.
