
Nine-year-old Will (shown left with wish child David, far left) knew what it meant to have his wish come true to lead the parade as grand marshal at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom. In fact, it meant so much to Will, he told his parents he wanted to raise money to grant a wish to another child. Will did just that and more!
On Friday, May 30, the Louisville, Kentucky “little wish granter” returned to Louisville’s Churchill Downs, where he raised $6,000 last November and not only granted a wish but the 500
th wish for the Kentucky and Southern Indiana office of the Make-A-Wish Foundation
® of Greater Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
Three-year-old David, from Nabb, Indiana met Will and his family, the Make-A-Wish staff and guests during a 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. reception at Churchill, just after returning from his wish trip to Disney World the day before. Churchill also had a race named in honor of the Make-A-Wish Foundation including a trophy presentation that same evening.
