Indiana Wishes

Sixteen-year-old Grant was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a type of brain tumor, in November 2010. When asked by Make-A-Wish^® volunteers ‘What is your wish?’ Grant’s choice was simple— to go on a shopping spree to purchase electronics and accessories to complete the media room in his home.

Jewelers for Children raised the funds to send Grant on a shopping spree at Best Buy and Rooms Express. Grant purchased a Sony laptop which was paired with a Sony Xbox, computer games, a wireless mouse, cellular phone, and anti-virus software for his new computer at Best Buy. Grant also purchased a leather recliner at Rooms Express.

Grant had a fantastic time shopping for electronics and furniture. There were many special surprises, including a limo ride to and from his home and the stores.

“We really appreciate all you did,” shared Grant’s dad, Carey. “Grant had a great time!”
