Disney Vacation Brings Endless Smiles To Luke

Luke gives Curious George a big hugFour-year-old Luke has been a fighter since he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, cancer of the peripheral nervous tissue. The continuous struggles little Luke faces daily were put aside when the Make-A-Wish Foundation approached Luke with the opportunity to cast any wish his heart desired.

Luke knew immediately that he wanted to meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse in an adventure to Walt Disney World. Luke, his parents and his young sister, Madeline, visited the Give Kids the World® Resort, a special place for children battling life-threatening medical conditions and their families.

I got to ride all kinds of neat rides. I got to feed dolphins and get splashed by Shamu; he seemed awful nice to be a killer whale.”

“I can’t truly express my thanks in words, but I smiled an awful lot and will continue to smile, every time I think of the gift you’ve given me.”
