Indiana Wishes

Being 17 is an exciting time in a young person’s life, especially when your dream of getting a bedroom makeover has come true. Marion, Indiana native Codie has struggled with William’s Syndrome, a rare neurodevelopmental disorder, all of her life, but never let her battle affect her passion for music and anything pink.

When Codie was asked by Make-A-Wish volunteers, “If you could have any wish, what would you wish for?” she knew she wanted a cool, modern pink and brown bedroom equipped with organizational tools she needs for high school and beyond. Helped by sponsorship from the Hackl family, Make-A-Wish^® granted Codie's wish while Codie’s wish-granting-volunteers added special touches to her new bedroom to fit her spunky personality.

“She is very proud and happy to have the room of her dreams that Make-A-Wish was able to give her. Word’s of thanks will never be enough. Thank you again for all of the continued smiles and excitement,” wrote Codie’s mom.
