Indiana Wishes

When 17-year-old Jette was diagnosed with cancer, she decided she was not going to let her teenage dreams fade. While most girls her age are hanging out with friends and going shopping, Jette was traveling to doctor’s appointments and undergoing chemotherapy treatments. The Make-A-Wish Foundation^® arranged for a shopping spree to all of Jette’s favorite shops.

Accompanied by her mother and best friend, the happy trio was whisked away by a limousine stocked with Jette’s favorite things, thanks to the wish granting volunteers, Jen and Dan. Jette’s VIP tour traveled to a few of her favorite shops: Plato’s Closet, Best Buy, TJ Maxx, Barnes and Noble and Hollister. As a special treat, Plato’s Closet gave Jette 17 pairs of jeans and an additional $150 gift card. The red carpet was truly rolled out when Jette’s limousine made an unexpected stop at Jette’s favorite restaurant, TGI Friday’s, where she enjoyed a relaxing lunch.
