Like many seven-year-old girls, Alyssa loves all of the Disney princesses, especially Ariel. Alyssa, who underwent brain surgery to remove a tumor, had the time of her life during a recent destination wish to Walt Disney World thanks to United Healthcare staff, who adopted Alyssa’s wish. In September, Alyssa and her family vacationed at Disney World with her family and stay at
Give Kids the World Resort.
Recently, Alyssa and her parents traveled to West Chester, Ohio to thank the United Healthcare staff, who adopted Alyssa’s wish. A reception was held in Alyssa’s honor so that United Healthcare staff could meet the courageous little girl and hear about her wish experience. To add a personal touch, the Employee Care Committee at United Healthcare presented Alyssa with many gifts suited to her interests including a #9 Carson Palmer autographed football jersey. Cincinnati Bengals Mascot ”Who Dey” also attended the reception.
“Thank you so much. You helped us forget, if only for one week; it was a week free of fear and worry and there are not enough ‘thank you’s’ in the world to cover it! It was a trip of a lifetime,” wrote Alyssa’s mom.
