When two Make-A-Wish volunteers and 10 Midwest ISO employees arrived at her house to put together a brand new playset one steamy July morning, six-year-old Maria was determined to supervise every move! The Indianapolis native, who has a rare disorder of the immune system, sat on the back porch and excitedly watched as the playset took shape, complete with swings and a fort. When the hot weather forced her to retreat into the cool refuge of the indoors, Maria maintained her vigil from the dining room window until every last piece of the playset was in place.
