Fundraising Policy and Guidelines
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Greater Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana is pleased to be the receipient of funds generated by individuals, organizations, businesses and corporate employees who engage in fundraising activities and promotions. We simply could not fulfill our mission without this type of assistance. Please contact your nearest regional office for more information.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Greater Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana does not participate in the following Fundraising Methods & Promotions
• Door-to-door or telephone solicitation.
• Use of the Make-A-Wish name at the direct point-of-purchase sale of alcoholic or tobacco products.
• Use of the Make-A-Wish name in relation to any business activity that cannot guarantee full accounting for funds generated, such as vending machines.
• Customer prospect campaigns conducted by independent contractors.
• Promotions to attract new patients to any form of medical treatment.
• Promotions related to the delivery of professional services.
Consult with your nearest regional office concerning your plans to solicit cash or in-kind donations for your Special Event. This protocol is followed in order to avoid repeated solicitation from generous supporters of the Foundation. Solicitations of any kind are NOT permitted outside the counties encompassing the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana. Solicitations are limited to our chapter area and are not to interfere with the efforts and events of other Make-A-Wish chapters.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a registered charitable organization in the state of its incorporation.
The Make-A-Wish brand is our strongest asset and we are careful to partner with organizations committed to preserving our mission and adhering to policies and practices established to support our core values. All fundraising events are subject to the Make-A-Wish Foundation's standard licensing process and use of the Make-A-Wish name or marks is otherwise prohibited. Before you start planning, contact your local Make-A-Wish development staff to process a Fundraising Licensing Agreement and Proposal.
