You Hold the Ticket to a Child’s WishSM
When a child is asked to share his or her wish, the response often begins with "I wish to go to . . ." More than 74 percent of our wishes granted last year involved travel. Airline tickets are the Foundation's single largest expense, translating to more than 2,300 airline tickets each year. You hold the ticket to fulfilling a child's wish.
You can share the power of a wish® by donating your individual unused frequent flier miles or by holding a company mileage drive. Once miles are donated to the Foundation, they never expire.
How Individuals Can Help
Without the help of thousands of frequent travelers, granting wishes would be incredibly expensive. However, most major airlines will allow their customers to transfer frequent flier miles either to the charity of their choice or to a charity fund managed by the airline. These donations result in substantial savings to the Foundation, at no cost to individuals.
How Corporations Can Help
Holding a Wishes in Flightsm mileage drive is a great way to get your organization involved in community service. It serves as a great team building exercise and is a unique donation option to help a local child's wish come true.
Donating unused frequent flier miles through a Wishes in Flightsm frequent flier mileage drive enables the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana to send hundreds of children and their families on trips of a lifetime, creating joyful memories for years to come.
